Heavy Deburring/Slag Removal

Surfaces with very large burrs and slag will shred most coated abrasive products in a hurry. While fibre and flap discs will effectively perform light deburring, for big jobs we recommend a heavy-duty Cubitron™ II Depressed Center Grinding Wheel.
Blending

The forgiving nature and fine finish of flap discs make them an ideal starting point for blending and refining applications. Compared to fibre discs, Cubitron™ II Flap Discs require less pressure and run more smoothly, while delivering a cool cut and rapid results.
Finishing/Surface Prep

We recommend starting with a Scotch-Brite™ Light Grinding and Blending Disc for surface prep. These surface conditioning discs will refine the surface but resist gouging. For a little more aggressiveness, try a Cubitron II Flap Disc which cuts faster while still leaving a smooth finish.
Beveling

For effective beveling in less time, the Cubitron™ II Depressed Center Grinding Wheel is a top-of-the-line solution. Use less pressure to achieve excellent, quick results while prolonging the life of the wheel.
Weld Grinding

The exceptionally fast, cool cut of Cubitron™ II Fibre Discs makes them an excellent choice for weld grinding. For heavier stock removal, grinding wheels will offer a more aggressive cut.
Scale Removal/Weld Splatter Removal

A flap disc offers a great level of cut for stubborn scale and weld splatter without gouging the substrate. It also leaves a smooth finish, making it a really versatile abrasive. Scotch-Brite™ Light Grinding and Blending Discs may be used similarly for lighter weight removal applications.
Cutting

Cubitron™ II Cut-Off Wheels (COWs) deliver fast, smooth cutting and exceptional life. For especially heavy cutting applications, we recommend trying Cubitron™ II Cut & Grind Wheels.
Back Gouging

The Cubitron™ II Cut & Grind Wheel is ideal for back gouging applications, where a thicker, sturdier wheel edge may be required. Precision-shaped grain will get the job done in a hurry and outlive conventional wheels.
