The 3M Australia and New Zealand Team raises funds to support flood relief efforts in NSW & QLD

Earlier this year, Australia’s east coast endured record-breaking rain events, resulting in flash flooding which caused wide-spread destruction and displaced many from their homes and separated communities across New South Wales and Queensland.

To support flood-affected communities, 3M Australia partnered with Good360 Australia, an organisation that connects goods and donations to communities and individuals in need by working alongside an extensive and robust network of other non-profits and disadvantaged schools to further their reach and the impact of donations received.

Good360 works across many areas providing assistance to communities and individuals, which includes assisting people suffering homelessness, vulnerable community and family support, and natural disaster relief and recovery – to name a few. The organisation not only provides immediate relief to flood-affected victims, but is present throughout the entire recovery process, ensuring all victims have what they need to recover, rebuild, and move on with dignity.

During this partnership, 3M Australia launched an internal Flood Relief Appeal; a corporate matching program providing the opportunity for our Australia and New Zealand 3Mers to make personal donations which would be matched by 3M Australia. For every $5 donated to Good360, they can deliver $100 of brand-new goods to people in need.
The program, which lasted for five weeks beginning in May, generated a total impact value worth $226,577 thanks to the generous donations from our 3Mer community, as well as the contribution made by 3M Australia.
3M strives to contribute to the communities in which we operate, especially during times of crisis. Our team is proud to be able to support flood-affected communities and assist in relief efforts.
