What are Comfort Strips made of?

Comfort Strips are composed of the following 3 main components:
1. An elastic, non-woven backing made of polyurethane fibres
2. An acrylate adhesive
3. An absorbent pad consisting of rayon fibres or a blend of rayon and polypropylene fibres with a
polyurethane non-stick surface.

hat makes Comfort Strips “breathable”?
A
The backing material itself is porous so the bandage breathes all over, unlike conventional plastic bandages
which only breathe where there are holes. Also, the unique hole pattern provides over 50% more hole
area over the wound pad than conventional plastic bandages to allow air to reach the skin and excessive
moisture to evaporate.

Steri-Strip skin closures can be worn as long as they stay on or as directed by a health care professional.
If they begin to loosen, remove and apply a new strip(s).

No. Steri-Strip Skin Closures are made of porous, non-woven, elastic or rigid material coated with
hypoallergenic adhesive. They are reinforced with filaments for strength (where packaging denotes).

Yes. For additional protection, cover with a Waterproof Wound Strip or a Tegaderm
