The 3M™ Prevena Restor™ Incision Management System is the next generation of incision and soft tissue management for rethinking recovery. The 3M™ Prevena Restor™ ArthroForm™ System Kit is a disposable negative pressure therapy system and integrated dressing with expanded coverage area to help manages the incision and surrounding soft tissue to help reduce edema to promote the healing cascade and optimise recovery.

The 3M™ Prevena Restor™ Incision Management System is intended to manage the environment of surgical incisions that continue to drain following sutured or stapled closure by maintaining a closed environment and removing exudate via the application of negative pressure wound therapy. The 3M™ Prevena Restor™ Incision Management System is built on the proven technology of original 3M™ Prevena™ Therapy with new features to optimise care. The 3M™ Prevena Restor™ ArthroForm™ Dressing is applied over the incision and the surrounding soft tissue, the form-fitting dressing bolsters the incision and surrounding soft tissue envelope. The effects of negative pressure applied to intact skin via 3M™ Prevena™ Therapy were evaluated using Finite Elemental Analysis (FEA). Based on the analysis, it is hypothesised that volumetric expansion may help expand the tissue beneath the dressing and pulling the tissue open, increase pore volume, lower local interstitial fluid overpressure, and open lymphatics to allow fluid clearance. The 3M™ Prevena Restor™ Incision Management System is also designed with proprietary SENSAT.R.A.C.™ Technology, which maintains and adjusts to deliver consistent negative pressure at the incision site. Only the 3M™ Prevena Restor™ Incision Management System delivers -125mmHg negative pressure therapy and accommodates the widest variety of incision sizes, exudate storage capabilities, and mobility needs of patients.
