3M™ Nextel™ Sewing Thread 440 is a machine sewable thread comprised of 440 Grade rovings and rayon serving which enhances sewability. Nextel™ Sewing Thread 440 is designed to withstand continuous use temperatures of up to 2372oF (1300oC). Ideal for sewing Nextel™fabric in high temperature insulation applications. Available heat cleaned and sized.
Our 3M™ Nextel™ Sewing Thread 440 is made from Nextel™ 440 continuous filament ceramic oxide fiber combined with other supporting materials; these materials are designed to be strong and flexible enough to be sewn under specialized sewing conditions while maintaining strength and flexibility for service under a variety of high temperature conditions. It may be useful for electrical or thermal insulating items that require stitched, quilted or sewn connections such as blankets, pillows and articles that are often filled with high temperature bulk fiber/insulation products.
