3M™ Nextel™ Fabric BF-40, woven from 440 Grade continuous filament ceramic 2000 denier roving, is designed to withstand continuous temperatures up to 2372oF (1300oC). High weight with moderate air permeability, BF-40 is ideal for high temperature industrial and aerospace applications, and is available both sized and heat cleaned. Standard width: 36 inches.

3M™ Nextel™ Fabric BF-40 is a woven yarn from 3M™ Nextel™ 440 high temperature continuous filament ceramic oxide fiber. Due to the properties of Nextel 440 fiber, this product outperforms the useful limits of many other high temperature textiles. It is medium weight, electrically insulating and flexible. Nextel fabric BF-40 has medium air permeability and is often used as a component in thermal barrier constructions. It is used in combination with other Nextel products such as sewing thread and high temperature materials such as bulk fiber/insulation products to construct thermal barrier components.

3M™ Nextel™ Style BF Woven Ceramic Fabrics are designed to meet the toughest thermal, mechanical and electrical performance requirements. They are heat, flame and oxidation resistant; and chemically resistant, lightweight, electrically insulating and flexible.
