Educating workers is not only a regulatory requirement for employers but is also a critical element to improving worksite safety. For many employers, having an on-site instructor is a beneficial asset for providing timely, consistent safety training to workers on-site.
This four-day course is designed to specifically prepare participants to deliver 3M’s Authorized Person Fall Protection programs. Each person in the course will receive extensive instructor materials, including items such as instructor guides, lesson plans, administration practices, and a supply of student materials to get started.
Upon completion of the Certified Instructor program, successful course participants will receive a certificate indicating their ability to deliver either of the specific 3M Safety Training fall protection programs; Authorized Person Essentials (course #6408) or Authorized Person Comprehensive (course #6418).
Certified Instructor Kits
Each successful participant will receive a Certified Instructor kit which includes a messenger style bag containing a binder with the study guide/lesson plans, a scaled version of the student workbook with space for your own notes and prompts to assist when delivering the program, and an initial supply of other classroom materials. You will also receive access to our online portal where you will be able to download the electronic presentation and where you will submit completed training records for processing and card printing. In addition, you will receive an initial supply of Student Activations. Each Student Activation is uniquely serialized and includes a student workbook that aligns to the electronic presentation; a serialized temporary training certificate which a student uses as proof of training until they receive their plastic wallet-sized training certificate; and the Student Record Booklet containing the sign-in form, theory test, feedback form, and training record.
Note: The certificate does not authorize the participant to teach other 3M Safety Training programs, or any courses constructed by others.
