Our 3M™ Damping Foil Tape 2552 is constructed of a dead soft aluminum foil constraining layer and coated with a pressure sensitive, viscoelastic acrylic polymer adhesive. This unique construction provides the ability to control resonant vibrations in a variety of applications and across a broad spectrum of temperatures.

Use 3M™ Damping Foil 2552 to die-cut aluminium foil parts and reduce noise in all types of vehicle and appliances, across many different industries. Our silver, aluminium foil features a constraining layer coated with a pressure-sensitive viscoelastic polymer on a poly-coated paper easy-release liner. The acrylic viscoelastic works to absorb vibration, reduce noise and metal fatigue. This tape is thermally conductive for heating and cooling efficiency. It’s heat reflective and won’t degrade easily when in contact with flames, moisture, weather, UV and chemicals.
