• to confirm course attendance and course completion to your employer

Who your Personal Data may be disclosed to:

- Thought Industries, Inc., a service provider based in Boston, Massachusetts, USA (www.thoughtindustries.com), 3M is partnering with to bring you 3M Academy. Your Personal Data will be transferred to, stored and/or processed in the USA, which may have different data protection rules than your country. In those circumstances, 3M has in place contractual safeguards relating to international data transfers.

- Other 3M Group companies.

- Third parties hired by 3M to perform support for this service, including (i) Thought Industries, Inc. and (ii) in the event that you opted-in to receive marketing communications from 3M as part of your 3M User Profile, 3M’s third-parties marketing partners. Those third parties are required to respect the confidentiality of your Personal Data and use it only where necessary to provide you the relevant service.

- Your employer, based on its documented request, if allowed by local laws and if your course at 3M Academy was booked or requested by your employer, for the purpose of ensuring course completion.

How long your data is stored for

Your Personal Data will be stored for no longer than is necessary in connection with your usage of 3M Academy.

Use of your personal data

Send personal data to 3M

Your data is stored at 3M in the United States. Your profile data will be preserved for the duration of your use of the secured 3M resources. If you do not activate your account within ninety (90) days, your profile information will be deleted. Your account will be deactivated if you do not use the secured 3M resource for thirteen (13) consecutive months. Your account will be erased if you do not use the secured 3M resource for sixteen (16) consecutive months.

You can change or delete your profile information at any time after logging in by clicking the "Profile" link next to your name at the top of the page.
